I just got the science aid reaction table yesterday. I am looking at the REaction Table 1 on the first page, on the second to bottom part on the right hand side. This is a halogenation reaction: CH4 + X -- > CH3R

Can someone explain this? it looks a bit funny

Yeah there are a ton of mistakes on science aides there is that one the diels alder, nbs, and there is one where its suposed to be a carbonyl and its a single bond to an oxygen

if you are having alot of trouble with ochem i suggest the odyssey also by dr. romano

Are you taking about the Diels alder reaction for the alkene?? Oh yeah the product suppose to have a double bond. I think the NBS product is suppose to have a bromine. Thats all I saw so far, everything else seems good. I really like the science aide tables, so if anyone else finds something I would like to know. Thanks
where is the diels-adlder suppose to have the double bond?
