Do YOU look at the answer choices prior to reading a science passage?

I don't for the verbal b/c it causes me to focus on those details as opposed to the main idea.
What about science sections?

No. It's not like the answer will be in the passage verbatim. I just read first then look at questions.

No, I read the passage first very carefully then do the questions. A lot of stuff can be extracted from the passage itself

I personally go through questions first, since some/most passage questions tend to be general knowledge questions, or they touch on a very specific part of the passage (the fact that X macromolecule is polar) and then ask you questions about that X and how it interacts (with it being given in the passage that it is polar).

For the PS and BS you can usually answer the questions without reading the passage if you have a good understanding of the topic.

This was a question I did on my last practice exam, "what is a start codon?" You should know that it is, AUG. The passage will not tell you what the each codon stand for, but it does give you a background on DNA sequences and Codons.....

That said, it's very important to read the passages because most of the time they have the answers in them. Don't bother reading the questions then reading the passages; you'll just be wasting time.

I always briefly skimmed the questions (not the answers) first before reading the passage, just to get an idea of what to keep an eye out for while reading the passage.

For the SAT I read the Q's before the passage. MCAT was the other way around.
