1. cGPA and sGPA as calculated by AMCAS or AACOMAS cGPA: 3.723, sGPA:3.636 (strong uptrend in cGPA especially in last 3 years from a 3.1 slow first semester)
  2. MCAT score(s) and breakdown
    1. First attempt – 505 (127/122/128/128)
    2. Second Attempt- 500 (125/123/126/126) <<<really not sure how this happened. I was working full time but I did study a decent amount after work every day. Practice exams at worse were around my old score. AT WORST, I expected to replicate my old score....

  4. Ethnicity and/or race Asian
  5. Undergraduate institution or category Baruch College
  6. Clinical experience (volunteer and non-volunteer)

  9. Non-clinical volunteering
    1. 128 hours as a volunteer for national alliance on mental illness
  10. Other extracurricular activities (including athletics, military service, gap year activities, leadership, teaching, etc)

  11. LOR from a DO, NP, and committee letter from pre health department
I haven't submitted my scores to AACOMAS yet and I plan to do that tonight....

I already received secondaries that I have worked on and are ready to send out probably whenever aacomas officially receives my MCAT scores from:

A.T Still
ACOM
AZCOM
CCOM
DMU
MSU
Rowan
PCOM georgia/philly/south georgia
UNECOM
NOVA
NYITCOM

I also received emails from MUCOM, TUNCOM , LECOM BRANDETON that haven't sent me secondaries until I send out my official mcat scores.

I got my MCAT score today and now my confidence for even DO scores just went through the floor. My first MCAT was around the average for most schools but I'm afraid they'll look at my down trend and cut me off immediately. I wish I didn't retake it but I couldn't imagine on my worst day i'd score that low...

Am I screwed?

Do I have any shot at dmu

It's cool specific, but amcas recommends the squares be averaged, because this gives the most accurate prediction of people's performance in medical school. My school will average scores

Goro Does your school average scores 4-5 years apart?

Add a lot of new schools as backup. Your list has a lot of top DO schools. Might as well apply anyways but not likely to get those. Apply to as many DO schools as you can

Bad decision to retake mcat. That 505 killed your chance at MD anyways (unless you expected 515 which might give you a chance. But if you were aiming for a 510, the average won't save you for MD) and retaking is risking the DO.
