Last year the day mine was released I called my student affairs office and asked what my score was they emailed me back my score 20 minutes later. I told this to my classmates and a hand full did the same. The ones who did it later during the day got told to wait for the mail because the sao was over welmed by calls and emails for scores. Moral of the story contact your sao asap for score the later you do the less likely they well email it to you.

Before mid-May, was the NBME releasing scores each week?

I ask because I took my test on June 29. My scores should be released next week, if they are in fact releasing them each week. But if they release them as batches (of say 2-3 weeks at a time), am I going to have to wait a while? I missed the cutoff by just a couple of days.

I've been looking at the NBME and ECFMG websites and the best I can figure is that scores are mailed from Philadelphia. The next part of the real question is, when were the scores mailed? Maybe someone who received their scores in the mail can check their envelope for a postage date?

So my NBME site says my scores were released July 12th. So I assume these aren't posted on the website; we have to wait till they are mailed to us correct??? Sorry I guess most people already knew this, I just assumed we could check online.

Your school already has them. Depending on your schools policy you may be able to get it to them. My school put them up on our normal online grade service thing at noon today. So basically I got no work done all morning, but yeah check with your classmates and see what they're doing and if no one knows call your student affairs office and find out if they will give it to you.

Scores are generated, released by the computer, and mailed all on Wednesdays.

I was wondering the same thing. I took mine on June 30th so does that mean my score is coming in this upcoming Wednesday? confused...

I have a feeling wednesday is the day your gonna hear. I took it at the end of june. I hopefully will be hearing good things from my dean.

When I log into NBME and check the record of my exams, it does not say anything under the column of "Score Release Date". According to people here, that means your test hasn't been graded yet. Which isn't a good sign if it were to come out this Wednesday.

I'm pretty dissapointed, because if I haven't passed, I need to know now. At my school they pull you out of your third year rotations if you don't pass the board exam, and you have to retake it on Sept 1. Not to mention repeating the ENTIRE rotation. So the 80 hour work weeks I'm putting in right now could all be for nothing. 😡

Also the first time I took it the whole registration process took about a month, because the orange cars they sent me never arrived in the mail and I had to request another one. If I find out next week or the week after, I'm going to be pushing up against the limit of actually being able to register in time and schedule for Sept 1 (which is the *only* day I'm allowed to take it, between NBME rules and my med school's rules).

With the kind of prices they charge for this exam, the service should have been better. 👎

thankx for that info. I obsessively called my skool today and they said they didn't have my score either. I took mine on the last day of june. argh... another week of waiting around...
