What type of upward progression should you have on the practice tests to determine if it's worth taking them in August. 😕

I mean I should have taken them in April and be applying now, but due to situations beyond my control I couldn't take the test then and it also put me way behind in doing apps. Most likely I won't apply this year and I'll take a year off. I'd rather take the MCAT and get it over with as long as I think i can do well on it. What kind of scores should I be getting on practrice tests to warrant taking them next month, 4 days after my organic chem final? :scared:

27+ should be enough to place you in decent mcat 30+range. You shud actually look into getting double digits in the individual sections rather than looking at the composite.

I wouldn't worry too much about the upward progession trend. Some days you are just off. For instance, my boyfriend got a 37 on his first practice test and went DOWN from there (35, 36, 34,), but still did really well on the actual MCAT (38R). In my opinion, you are capable of doing your BEST on the real MCAT, no matter when your best was. For instance, if your practice tests looked like this:

1: P7 B10 V11
2: P10 B8 V10
3: P9 B10 V9
4: P10 B11 V10

You are capable of getting a P10 B11 V11 MCAT. Just keep working and don't psych yourself out.
