Hey guys, Im freaking out
I got a 25 on a practice test a few days ago and a 24 today. My MCAT is in 2.5 weeks! The next available MCAT is in July 28. I really want to apply this cycle.....should I postpone or keep trying?

If you don't mind losing the money, postpone. If there is one thing I learned about the MCAT, its that you shouldn't take it until you're ready. Anyway, I'm retaking on July 28 and am still applying this cycle, albeit I'm using my old MCAT scores for the application right now. I don't think applying in August is THAT late.

yeah i agree with the above. a subpar score will do absolutely nothing for you. ideally you will start hitting something close to your target score on those practice tests right around the time you take the real deal. don't take it until you are ready.

I agree with what's said above. I took it last summer without studying because I was taking 2 classes and had to work to pay for the classes. Only got through chapter 1 of all the science related examkrackers books and had only taken 2 practice full lengths and received a 26.

I'm actually studying this time and only halfway through the books I pulled off a 30 on a practice AAMC exam. I'm taking it the 29th and I still feel that I don't have enough time to hit my goal score. I would save yourself the trouble and postpone.

cancel and prepare properly.

Some people do hundreds of quality passages before doing FLs. Unless you had a poor exam for some reason, you likely have some major weaknesses and need a better/longer/more thorough preparatory period.

It is even better to take a year off and do other things to improve your app than to rush and take early, do poorly and then not be able to apply.
