I work in a hospital and use Dickies scrubs. I have also shadowed several surgeons and used the scrubs that the hospital provides for the surgeons. I find that the sugrical scrubs are much more comfortable than the ones that I own. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it b/c the scrubs in the hospital have been washed more than mine? The reason I am asking is because I would like to buy those style of scrubs if they are different.

They use Encomass scrubs at my hospital and they are the cheapest ones ive seen. You can find them online for like $14 for a top+bottom. They are the really thin, comfortable ones.

I think it's just because they've been washed a zillion times. I agree, they're very comfortable, but I would warn that surgical scrubs are not often meant to be very practical. As a CNA(albeit long-term care and not a hospital), I like to use scrubs that are heavier than the surgical scrubs and have lots of pockets.

Lots of the surgical scrubs I've seen are made just for that: surgery. They don't always provide for someone that has to carry a bunch of stuff around. I've seen surgical scrubs w/o pockets whatsoever.

One way around this would be to convince the hospital to put white coats on CNAs:laugh:  . heh heh, i can just see the allopathic forums lighting up after that one.
