We are thinking of putting together an SDN bookstore through Amazon. Which pharmacy books do you think should be included? My school runs mostly off coursepaks, so I don't get exposed to that many texts.

Some general books on my list this semester are Pharmaceutical Calculations by Ansel & Stoklosa Lippincott, Williams & Wilkins; Medical Biochemistry by Baynes, Dominiczak; and Fundamentals of Anatomy & Physiology by Martini.

Doesn't mean I will buy them all... 😉

If you can swing it APha handbook of nonprescription drugs and the lexi-comp Drug info handbook and Top 100 drug interactions by hanston and horn

i dont like apha's handbook of otcs....
but not a bad idea

i do like natural products database or whatever its called...
so that would be fun...
except they offer it for the palm... so we know what i'll be doing...

im not a fan of it either, but alot of schools require it. Is there a better OTC book that we could replace it with?

wow i didn't realize schools required it!!

our OTC guy is the editor of Facts non-rx so he just made us handouts...

hmmm

i'll ask around as to what people use....

i just use my lexi

Lippincott's Pharmacology was very helpful for me! Also, definitely Dipiro!

I have to lug it to pharmacotherapy 3 days a week. The book is falling apart. It's our required text and we have a quiz before each class on assigned material (6 classes per week). We did Koda-Kimble in year 2, and this year we're going through the OTC book.

We're also required to either have the drug info handbook or lexi-complete on the PDA.
