I was wondering if I could hear some different views regarding my situation. I'm in my senior year of undergrad and have decided to pursue medicine. I have already applied to 10 different Post Bac programs and I am awaiting to hear which ones I got accepted to. The part where I need my advice is decideding if going to a post bac would benefit me or would staying at my state school for 2 more years to finish the classes I need would.

Money aside, which would be more beneficial to someone who does not have alot of the required classes?
Does it matter where you get the A's in BCMP?

The Pros of Staying:

I could stay at my current school and take the one class that I got a C in and up my GPA a little as well.
I would be able to continue my volenteer work at the local hospital.
I would not be as financially strapped if I went away to a post bac program.
Have lesss debt
Have more time to study for the MCAT.
Possibly have better grades because it is a state school and from what I hear from other students the classes are easier.
I Won't have to move again till I get into medical school.
Would be able to save money so I do not have to work in medical school

Cons of Staying:
I would be stuck in the same place I have been for four years already.
I would have alot of debt if I left.
I would get out of this damn town I am in now
Get a post bac certificate
Have more connections

Obviously, the list of Pro's out weighs the Cons, but what is really best???
I am really torn between going and staying as you can see. Any advice would be helpful, everyone I've talked to has not been able to help me at all decide.

Stay. The less debt you can incur the better it is.

Should I get a second degree or just do the classes? I need pretty much all the classes.

Depends how much your GPA needs improving. What is it now? Overall and BCPM?

Cum: 3.6 (14 credits till graduation)
BCPM: 2.8, I've only taken 2 sciences and a math because that is all my major required.
GRE: 1220 W.A 4.5

Post Bac applied to:

UVM
Harvard Extention
UNC-Greensboro
University of Maryland
Boston University
Towson
Rutgers
Virginia Commonwealth

Its like 3.7 something without the sciences added in, sorry just calculated it. (Rough calculation)
And when I did the AAMC weighted conversion I had a 3.6.

Does good grades out weigh the risk of going to a harder school to do post bac classes and getting certified? I know there are networking opportunities if you do go to a post bac program and I talked with people at UVM and they require you ,and encourage you to do hands on work at a hospital. My school does not have a pre-medical advisor so excuse the "stupid "questions, I just feel like im in the dark with this one.

Your overall GPA is fine. Go to a school that you think you can pull straight As in your sciences. E.g, stay where you're already getting good grades.
