I was wondering if there was anyone else here who is planning on going to SDSU in the fall?? Please feel free to pm me, I'd love to get to know some of you! 🙂 Also, if anyone is from San Diego, any recommendations on best housing/how to find roommates would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I'm HOPING to go to SDSU, but am still waiting on a decision from them. I applied pretty late. I've lived in San Diego for about 4 years now, I rent a house with my husband about 15 minutes from campus, we found it on zillow.

Ok wonderful, do you happen to know the neighborhoods that are close to SDSU? In addition, how is the public transportation in San Diego? Is it a city where you would need a car to get around?

Do you all know when we register for classes? On my portal under the "My Registration" tab, it says my registration date/time is not available. Do you all know anything about registration?

Macko126, I emailed Brenda Fass Holmes last week regarding info on registration. This is what she said:

Please continue to watch your web portal for information on your registration date. I'd imagine you'll receive that sometime next month, as new graduate students will be registering sometime in June.

You may also want to take a look at the information for new students link on our web site. Note, some of that information will be updated in the next week or two.

I just received a call from Brenda Fass-Holmes today stating that I was admitted off the waitlist but now, i'm freaking out because I only have a couple months to plan my move to San Diego. I stumbled upon this thread (thank goodness) and was hoping to receive any tips from anyone in terms of housing, class registrations, anythingggg. I'm just glad this forum exists so I don't feel alone! haha

Congrats!! As far as housing goes, I found my roommates on the facebook group "San Diego State University (SDSU) Housing, Sublets & Roommates." I'm moving from a completely different region of the country so I feel your stress!

Have you joined the graduate school of public health (GSPH) Facebook group too? Sometimes people post there looking for roommates.
