My options aren't that great. I am going either for chemistry or biochemistry major. What do you think? I am praying to get off UOP program waitlist and UCDavis.

I would recommend going to a smaller school where there is a lower student to faculty ratio (better for getting great LoRs), and less competition (less weeder courses, easier A). Look at the average GPA for your prospective majors. The lower it is, the more difficult it is to get a good GPA. You may think it takes the same amount of work to get an A no matter where you go, but that is hardly the case.

Long story short, get a good GPA and you will have many options when you apply. To get a good GPA, a smaller school is the best bet.
