Searching tip to reduce server load

We pre-allo's usually just want to search the pre-allo forum. So instead of using the pull down search box, use the "advanced search" page and select to search only the pre-allo forum. It can probably reduce server use to a tenth of a search-all.

Just my 0.2 cents, seeing that lately the server has at times been struggling to keep up.

This could be a sticky, along with some other tips on using the forum (like gdbaby's list-bolding instructions ). Come to think of it, there should be a "Before you post" sticky, with some of the basic rules...most internet forums have that.
