I have an initial seat deposit due December 1 but most of my interviews are after this date. I?m sure a lot other people are in the same situation. So at what point do the schools make their classes official and indicate to the other schools that you have committed.
I only ask because I heard that it happens at some date, but I think its sometime in June. Anyone know the date. I?m pretty sure its after the second deposit but just wanted to be certain. Don?t want my deposit to adversely affect my options.

They don't "release" to other schools that you made a deposit. If you end up going to another school, you lose the deposit though, which is fair enough I think. Just follow the AACOM guidlines and you are fine, although your wallet may be thinner.

and if you're worried about the deposit...just call the school and let them know you have financial problems...most likely they will extend your deadline--TUCOM extended my deadline for another two weeks. 🙂

Contact the school first. If nothing can be worked out, make the deposit if possible. It would be better to error on the side of caution and make the deposit if possible, because it is a small price to pay in the long run.
