Here's some advice if you did this as a study. If you honestly want answers, drop this screen name, get a new one (that is unrelated to your past ones), and stop acting the way you are acting. Be yourself, not the "scientist." You will get some real advice and sdn will return to normal. I'm sure Jackie would like to get her thread back.

I'm sorry, but I really don't understand why the conversation even GOES to the topic of being annoyed? Clearly some person or people ENJOY doing what they do, and trying to seem nice or acknowledge it at all promotes the response. This person/people may never stop posting, but it is their right. And they will have little to post about if just ignored. This is a situation I often encountered with my sixth graders...just carry on and care not how long the thread is, etc. Trying to manage it all only makes it worse. Remember, everyone is just a bit stressed out right now and this is how some people manage it.

Do you really believe he/she is conducting an experiment? It is clearly a chronic lier suffering from more than one personality disorder (borderline, histrionic, paranoid, narcissistic, schitzotypal). Every response just feeds its ego more. Please let's all agree to ignore the fly and maybe it will go away. The next time anyone wants to respond to the Thing, use the time instead to report It to the mods (already done so myself -- post #1429 and #1419 and #1425 are good choices to report). It is ruining the experience of SDN.

I just wanted to take a moment to remind everyone that....

Trolls do it for the attention. If they don't get attention they get really, really annoyed. It's probably because they were ignored as children, have small genitalia, have a face that not even a dog could love, or some such combination of the above.

We're working on dealing with this issue. In the meantime, you guys have a fantastic way to help yourselves deal with assclowns such as this guy. It's called the ignore button. To wit:

o Find the user that you don't want to hear from, and click on the user's name.
o Click on View public profile
o click on Add User X to your Ignore List
o Reload the page you were originally viewing
o Voila! No more assclown. 🙂 (It's as if their posts never existed)

Remember, as tempting as it is to get all inflamed with guys like this....you hurt them worse by annoying them. Hope this helps.

Penn State = The Pennsylvania State University (which has the largest economic impact (about 8 billion) on the state's economy)......larger than any other entity in the state of PA 🙂

Yeah, I got the same postcard. It's my understanding that they don't have a secondary per se (you do send them $50, though), but that they let you know if they're inviting you to an interview.

Boy, it certainly is a long haul! I think I'm about halfway done, but have sent out maybe 1/3 of the total I have to do. I have to get as many of them done ASAP since I will be in Georgetown's SMP in a few weeks.

It took about 3-4 days from when I first noticed the change. I don't know how long it was up there before that.

Verified the 19th, UCSD sent first email 6/26 saying they now had my primary
email 7/14 inviting me to to finish their secondary.

For those invited to Northwestern's secondary, when were you verified? Northwestern is not a screener school. The URL for northwestern is: https://medicalapp.northwestern.edu but it will not accept your info until you've been invited.
