narc said:Yes verified the 19th i think. UCSD sent me an initial email June 26th, and Just today I got the secondary.
That seems like a normal time to receive the secondary if you search these forums.

laurenem said:btw, 2 essays for darmouth:
Indicate what you are doing during 2006-2007 academic year. If in school, list courses. If working, let us know something about the nature of your job.
Please share with us something about yourself that is not addressed elsewhere in your application and which could be helpful to the admissions committee as we review your file.
no word limit on these.
also, if you have done graduate work you need a lor from your thesis advisor... just a heads up.

shantster said:drvan - did you get that email today? I still haven't heard anything from them.
I think in the past they have only sent out secondaries via snail mail. After which, they send updates like your app being complete via email.fldhkybnva said:Do you know if Dartmouth also sends an invite by email? Also, is it accessible online?

HelenaP said:It appears that everything is due within a month of receiving your secondary. Mine has "Aug 14" stamped on it. So now everyone can get a head start on those lovely essays. 😉
HelenaP said:It is recommended that you use a maximum of 25 single-spaced lines for your response to each of the first six questions. Please use a standard size "font" in typing your responses, and double space if you wish to designate paragraphs in response to any question(s). If you feel you have already answered any of the questions in the Personal Comments section of your AMCAS application, simply indicate that this is the case by typing "please refer to my AMCAS application" following the question(s) to which this applies.
1. What do you consider a valuable experience in your personal development? This might be a decision you have made, an achievement of which you are particularly proud, or a person who has influenced your life.
2. Describe briefly how you have dealt with a personal or academic problem you have encountered
3. How did you reach your decision to enter medicine? Describe your participation in any health care or other activities which reinforced your decision.
4. What self-education, research, or independent scholastic work have you undertaken and what do you feel you have accomplished in this work?
5. If you will not be enrolled as a full-time student during the current academic year, please explain what you will be doing prior to your planned matriculation into medical school.
6. Please use this space to bring the information contained on your AMCAS application up-to-date. Indicate grades earned, alterations in your proposed course work or graduation date, address changes, additions to your list of activities, and anything else you feel we should know.

ToGodALLGlory said:I received Southern's supplemental on Friday!!!! Can you believe the mailperson dropped it on my lawn?!! I was so thankful I came out before it blew away. I probably would have thought I had been screened out! Our mailperson is normally awesome, too, by the way--super nice and never known to drop important mail! I actually retraced her normal route just to be sure Loyola wasn't laying around (my mom who happened to be present, laughing at me!). Hopefully my Loyola secondary is still on its way to me, while those of you awaiting Southern's find it safely tucked in your mailbox on Monday. 🙂

jackieMD2007 said:Me too! Punkn, if it helps, Helena and the others who have received Loyola were verified before 6-15. If you've been verified later, the wait is going to be longer. Keep me posted if you get it. Lucky for us, Helena posted the questions so we can start brainstorming! 🙂
