Actually I believe BU is a non screener, so we should all be getting the secondary. The reason why they are on the acknowledged list is because they are upgrading their app system so they are letting everyone know that they have received AMCAS but are not sending secondaries yet. Hang in there! It's one of the last secondaries need. Here's hoping it comes soon. Along with Drexel, Harvard, hopkins and albany.

Just because it is on a page doesn't mean its ready. Drexel has a page too. To our knowledge, no one has received an invite for either school...
I know there are people who applied to JHU that are regularly on this thread.

Yep. It's definitely possible to prepare in advance but I don't like sending things in until I get the invite. The moment I open my mail and find hopkins or drexel I'm rushing on here to see if anyone has posted it yet 😀 I love trying to be first. It's like a huge premed race to contribute something to the list.

I'm complete at Johns Hopkins University, I received the email last week. Filled onlined, submitted copy and picture by mail and sent LOR via virtual evals. I also got the package by mail.

Thanks! That is my experience as well. So it is not at all clear why folks are waiting for an invitation. But to each their own. 🙂

I'm not complete yet, but I have submitted the secondary online, and mailed in a hard copy with my pic. I'm just waiting on my LORs. I have not yet received anything in the mail from them.

I can confirm. They use the same system as Columbia (ApplyYourself), and it is available as soon as you have submitted your AMCAS (you needn't wait till you're verified)

There is another thread on the hopkins issue. I would post the link but I don't know how. The thread is " Notice of secondary completion--Johns hopkins." In that thread modelslashactor and leahmaria also indicate that they have completed the on-line ssecondary with success. So, I am pretty sure it's true even though it is a newbie that pointed it out Cheers to all and thanks to jackieMD for a good thread.

Sorry to jump into the thread with this, but it's getting to be too much to handle. This used to be such a nice place to be before Dr. E fiasco began.

It's not that you have differing opinions. It's the way you state your opinions. You attempt humor in every post, and it is often tasteless, spiteful, and counterproductive.

Case in point:

You have used words like "******" in inappropriate ways, and now you're making a CP joke. When you're already annoying people, these types of comments become even more inflammatory.

If EVERYONE has a problem with you, chances are the problem lies with YOU, not with everyone else. Look at the past posts of people you're fighting with, and you'll see that they don't fight with anyone else. But you fight with all of them. That should tell you something. If I recall, you're into psych/social sciences. Try some honest introspection and realize that if you think everyone is out to get you, you may have some distorted cognitive views.

I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. You're probable not a bad person, but the way you are interacting on this board makes you appear to be. Maybe you've gotten caught up in defending yourself from what may have been unfair attacks at first, and can now recognize that it's time to step back and calm down. Maybe you've got the fiery latin personallity (believe me, my codependent-other is an espanola) and in the heat of the battle have lost sight of the fact that 99% of the people on this board are here to help and be helped in a kind, professional matter... much like we hope our doctors will treat us.

Why don't we all just agree that if Dr. E/Hopkins says inflammatory things, that no one will respond and keep the flame burning.

On the other hand, Dr. E/Hopkins, you can try reaching the 100+ post mark without 1 insincere or off-topic comment, and you'll see that people will have no problem with you, and that this can be a welcoming, enriching place to be. 🙂

yes it is ....so fortunatly there is no "real" dr. Eugenic.......i used that name becasue its already a controversy in itself....

I have to disclose some things though now that its over....the experimentis to see how much extra stress med students are under versus normal people.....iu used yahoo chatrooms to test the normal poulation...and sdn to test the "strssed population"

so to everyone i apologize for the deceit but it was a blind study....and i should be "getting me published" this will look great on my med school apps... 😀
