Secondaries without completing new MCAT

Hey guys,

I wrote my MCAT last year and scored below my expectations and ended up with a 498 (124/122/127/125). I got absolutely wrecked in CARS and was planing on re-writing this summer. If i apply to AACOMAS in early June without writing my new MCAT (writing in Late june/July), will I still receive secondaries or will my app be put on hold until the new MCAT scores are in.

Not sure, but your old MCAT will be verified and you will get secondaries except those who prescreen.

Yes of course. I believe you can input a future MCAT that you're planning to take when you submit your primary.

you will receive secondaries because they are an easy way to make money. i have seen many students however fill out the secondary, pay the secondary fee, and then instantly get rejected. I have no idea what a 498 equates to in the old system, but if it is really low, you'd be better off waiting. if you get rejected based on your low MCAT, people aren't going to un-reject you if you update with a better score.

498 is about a 24 on the old scale.

I submitted a secondary with my MCAT retake date on my app. Got rejected bc of my old score. A couple days after my rejection, I got a score back that would have got me in that school.

Get your secondaries. Type them up and save them. Don't submit until you have your new MCAT added to your aacomas app.
