What do they mean by describe a life experience in which you feel you demonstrated cultural competence?

I think they are basically asking you to write about one experience where you showed that you are aware/sensitive to a culture/s different from your's and somehow, tie it in to the medical field.

also, it doesn't have to be tied in to medicine. That would be fine, but not necessary. I wrote mine about a volunteer experience working with underpriveleged children and they granted me an interview, and another friend of mine wrote his about working at a summer camp for kids, so there is a lot of flexibility. Hope that helps!!
