Under question 11, am I supposed to talk about EACH SUMMER that I was not in summer school? Is that what they mean by all gaps in time? What are you all putting down for this question? For example, should I do:

Summer 1997 : Research...
Summer 1998 : Volunteering...

Also, for UVA secondary, what are you guys writing for the question "why are you interested in attending the UVA?)

The gaps that they refer to on the GWU secondary refer to gaps on your AMCAS application. If you did research and listed it, that is not considered a gap. I think they are interested in periods of time where you have nothing listed whatsoever.
