So, something I've always wondered about is what kind of security/safe guards do they have in place for the pcat?

I'm not talking about actual *looking on your neighbors test* kinda cheating.. which prolly doesn't work cause of different versions of the test anyways..

I'm talking about, whats to stop me from getting my PHD Biochemistry friend from taking the Pcat for me?

I'm sure there are things that prevent such abuse, but I'd like to know what specifically?

Note, I am not asking cause I want to try and cheat the pcat exam.. I'm merely curious is all..

I don't think this would be such a problem for pcat exams.. but I think tests like the Lsat would be prone to huge potential abuses like this.

Anyways, what do they do?
Obviously they check Id.
But what if I get my friend a fake Id made matching my name?
So that his picture actually appears on the DL? with my name for instance?
So even if they check his picture, it matches..?

my picture on the id looked much different than my picture now because the picture was taken long time ago. they looked at the name and didn't care about the picture lol.

i wonder how often people get "ringers" for pcat exams in that case...

haha

When I took the first actuarial exam the proctor took my picture and fingerprint in addition to checking my two forms of ID. If I had use the restroom at any point during the test, upon re-entry I had to swipe my finger and be compared against my photo.😀

lol fingerprint swipes? what is this, a bank vault?

i remember what they did for mine last year was just check two pieces of ID when you initially register your attendance, then whenever you exit and re-enter the test room you need to show ID again.

The previous poster said the fingerprinting etc. was when he/she took the ACTUARIAL exam (to be an actuary) not the PCAT...different exam....different procedures.

I did a google on ACTUARIAL, and I'm still confused as to what they are/the exam is.

Either way, point being, its not the pcat.

haha.

*edit* found out what they are.
I see.
So, back on topic.
Pcat security.
