Can you see adult neurology patients after doing a child neurology residency? I am a first-year med student interested in the brain and was wondering this...I haven't seen anything about this anywhere else. I like kids but don't know if I would want to give up seeing adults. Thank you!

This happens quite a bit. For example, a child with an epilepsy syndrome or mitochondrial disease grows into an adult so their child neurologist will often continue to see them when they're adults. Adult neurologists are uncomfortable these childhood-onset disorders.
