I am planning on applying to dental school next year, but the way things look I will be missing a semester of physics and biochemistry (which applies at some schools) when I apply. Will this negatively affect my application? Do the schools care if I still have coursework in progress? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks!

my understanding was..
..that prerequisite coursework should be completed. however, i think "completed" means 'completed before matriculating'.
(i could be wrong)

As long as your overall application is solid..i think you'll be fine.

Admissions Directors can often be flexible.

Aggro is right, it definitely is completed before matriculating. Therefore there is no penalty for being in the process of completing one of the pre-reqs. You must complete all courses to matriculate.
