I would retake, in addition to taking a few hours of upper-division science classes this summer and fall. Also submit earlier.

Dear community,

My background:
I graduated from providence college in 2014 as a BS Bio major with a 3.2 overall and 3.23 in the sciences.
I took the DAT last August and got an 18 OC, 19 BIO, 21 GC, 20 RC, 21 PA, and 19 QR. Overall it was 19 AA 19 TS.
I submitted my application August 14, but it was not complete with recommendations until midSeptember.
This past gap year I have accumulated 200 shadow hours with one dentist, as well as had an article published in Dental Economics with another, in addition to helping him write a book on cervical dentin hypersensitivity.
I work a full time job as a landscaper on top of all the other EC's.
I have had a couple interviews thus far, and have been wait-listed at both schools.
I am still waiting to hear from about 5 schools as far as being granted an interview goes. (which seems odd to me)

Do I retake the DAT for the next cycle or maybe to increase my chances in this one? Because of everything else I have going on I don't feel as if I will be able to perform significantly better should I retake, and I would absolutely HATE to do worse. Does anyone have any opinion, advice, or similarexperiences they can share? Is it absolve necessary for me to retake the DAT for admittance next cycle?

as others recommend ur DAT is average so ur GPA needs to be around 3.4-3.5. Since bring up GPA takes longer, bring up DAT is a shorter way.

so it is up to you to decide

I'm just curious, when you say GPA are you meaning cGPA or sGPA? I've been wondering this for quite some time.

Edit:cGPA/sGPA/"+"and"-" or just ABCD

I would definitely retake the DAT and get involved in more community service.
