Spent the past few days in a management seminar...they had us take a 'SELF' Personality test. It's along the lines of a Myers-Briggs; just not as complex. Thought you guys would be curious to see what you are...and what most of the pharmacy personalities are out there. Have fun! 😉
I am without a doubt an S. 😛
Answer the following questions using the following scale:
1) Not at all like me
2) Somewhat like me
3) Occasionally like me
4) Usually like me
5) Very much like me
Now, add up the score for all of the odd questions (1-29). Add up the score for the even questions (2-30). For questions 25-30, an 'A' is scored as a 5, and a 'B' is scored as a 1.
Now translate each of these two totals into two major scores:
If you scored from 15-21, give yourself a 1
If you scored from 22-33, give yourself a 2
If you scored from 34-44, give yourself a 3
If you scored from 45-56, give yourself a 4
If you scored from 57-68, give yourself a 5
If you scored from 69-75, give yourself a 6
The total of your odd answers gives you your "Directive Score". For example, I had a total of 45...which translates to a 4. The total of your even answers gives you your "Affiliative Score"; I got a 57, translating to a 5.
Now, take your Directive Score (which shows your needs and tendencies to direct and control a situation) and plot it on the vertical axis of the following graph. Take your Affiliative Score (which measures your needs and desires for being around others) and plot it on the horizontal axis. Next, connect the two points with a line and shade in the triangle.
This will determine whether you are an S - E - L or F.
Here are some of the characteristics for each personality type:
Now try and use this to help you determine what kind of leader you are, how this will play into your career path...and how you can adapt your style to the coworkers/patients you encounter!
