I've noticed that the prerequsities for several schools are eight semester hours of each class. All of the chemistry classes at my university are only three credits each, so I will end up with a total of six semester hours for both general chem and organic. Since I am still taking a year of each, would this satisfy the eight semester requirement?

Lab usually adds some to the 3/class. Some of my pre-reqs were 4 (including lab), others were 3 credits with lab listed separately as an additional 1 credit. Orgo lab was 2 creds. I'm sure you'll be fine, but figure it out. W/ Lab can't be 3 creds a course, can it?

You should be fine. I took my premed reqs in Canada and they were all 2.66 units (equivalent to the US 4 credits). I sent a letter to the schools I was applying to so they understood our stupid "unit system" and I haven't had any problems.
