Sending fees after submitting AADSAS

I was reading on the AADSAS website that some schools require a fee right after you submit your application. So we're supposed to send them money before we are contacted by them? Then they send us a secondary application which has another fee?

yup, if a school is listed as saying they want the fee before they contact you, do it right away so your early app doesnt get bumped down the line. Also sending it early may be a way to get bumped up on the list of people they look at and invite for early interviews since people who may have submitted before you may not send their checks right away.
