Sending in LORs before completing secondaries

I have been getting swamped by secondaries recently and the ones with essays are taking up a bit of time. When I initially recieve a secondary from a school, should I just go ahead and send in my LORs immediately or should I wait until I am getting close to finishing the essays? Basically I am wondering if it is okay for the LORs to reach the med school and sit there before I even send in my secondary.?
