Hey guys,

You know how on the secondaries you list who will be writing a LOR in your behalf? Well, what if one of those LOR's can't come through in time for the deadline and you have to use someone else? would this look bad? because they are expecting a LOR from these specific 3 people, but only 2 of them will be the ones you listed originally on the secondary? Thanks

You need to contact the admissions office and tell them about the change. If you're lucky, the people in the admissions office will change your app and the addmission committee won't ever know there was a change. If you're not, they'll stick a note or something on your app, which might make your app stand out a bit, but it wouldn't be the end of the world. Who knows really that's just my guess, I'd definately contact them though cause they are sure to notice if there are different letters than the ones specified on your application.

I don't think it will matter. I had to do the same thing and it doesn't seem to have hurt me. I think they know that there are plenty of reasons you might have to change LOR writers...not just because of something bad about you. Just let the admissions offices know (in writing) and don't sweat it.
