sending transcipts

noob question

I am applying for the first time this cycle.

Here,

it says
"AMCAS starts accepting transcripts the day the application cycle opens"

but can I send them in before? I don't know if there'll be some kind of rush from a bunch of students trying to do the same

A big part of the application process is following directions. Do that and you will be fine.

You cannot send in transcripts until you create an application, which cannot be done until the day the application cycle starts. It says that in bold in the link you posted.

It doesn't matter if a bunch of students submit their transcripts on day 1, because AMCAS opens a month before you can even submit the application and a full 2 months before med schools can even see applications.
