Hi Everyone,

I'm one of the many that have been frantically checking my transcript status for the last couple of weeks, (I requested my transcript on May 29, and my college sent it out June 6 and still no word from AMCAS) and was wondering if I should send another transcript on via priority mail/overnight shipping service. I'm not sure if I should send it to the PO Box address or the street address, does anyone know which would be the better place to send it to? This is the only thing left I'm waiting for the get verified so I'm really frustrated/freaking out about it. Thanks in advance!

These are the two that I found on their website:

Association of American Medical Colleges
2450 N Street, NW
Washington, DC 20037-1123

Registrars should forward transcripts to:
AMCAS, Attn: Transcripts
AAMC Medical School Application Services
P.O. Box 57326
Washington, DC 20037

so people just mail them street to the 2450 address?

I've sent in 3 transcripts from the same school to the PO Box address. I'm still waiting for them to receive it.

If the one I sent out about a week and a half ago isnt there soon, I'll use the street address.

My transcript was sent to the P.O. box without any problems, I got an e-mail that it was received about four days after I gave the sheet to my registrar. I sent a letter about an MCAT issue to the street address and it took them about 3 weeks to do anything with it.

I think if you're going to send transcripts for AMCAS, you should use the P.O. box, which seems to be set up specifically for AMCAS issues. They probably get mail related to other AAMC services through the street address, so it's a little slower going.
