I will be retaking my DAT next week and plan to send my score report to the schools that allow unofficial reports to be sent. For those of you that have already done this, did you send only the score report or did you write up a letter to go along with it? What is the normal protocol for this? Any advice/input is appreciated!

Did you already pay for your secondary yet?

If not, I would say wait until your new scores are officially updated on AADSAS to pay for your secondaries.

Some schools, as I am frustratingly experiencing right now, will start reviewing your file once you pay for their secondary application fees and they won't even accept the unofficial score report, which means they will make their decisions based on your old DAT scores.

So you will have to wait about 3 weeks until your new scores are uploaded on AADSAS, but at least you won't get a rejection in the mean time.

With that said, notice I said "some" schools; other schools may take your unofficial scores (fax, email), other schools may actually hold off of your application until the new scores are in.
