Service Obligation Scholarships

I'm from Kansas and will be entering medical school in the fall. Kansas has a program for primary care with a service obligation for each year you receive money. I'm interested in doing this, but I would like to get the advice of anyone who has done a program like this or was interested and turned it down. I could use all the information I can get to help make the decision.
