Well, in today's political climate and with the existance of millions of interest groups and pseudo-experts, we can only pray that the new version comes out relatively unscathed and that interest groups have little to no influence on its creation.

Mmm... I remember when I took Step III in December, there was a transgender question on there. It was a general practice transgender question, someone coming to see you and wants his sex changed and the question was what would you do next.

Transgender is becoming an important topic in the US. General practice will get the occasional male or female that want to be the other sex. This topic will be attacked over and over and over again. We just need to use and defend solid science on this. Start by being more informed about it.
