Shadowed while volunteering?

in one of my volunteering positions, I go in with the doctor and residents as they talk to the patients and then after the attending and resident leave, I sit down with the patient and do my volunteering duty. I was planning on using this for shadowing hours, but i realized that i don't have specific doctor contact info

does this count as shadowing? if so, should i just try to find the names of the physicians i remember?

You could potentially. I have a shadowing experience where I shadowed something like 5 different doctors or residents over a 16 hour period. My contact is the person I scheduled it with, don’t know any of the doctors names.

I did this exact same type of experience, and I just listed one of the doctor’s I shadowed as the contact (he also wrote me a letter of rec). Personally, I talked about both the volunteering and the shadowing in the same experience essay, although I did designate as a most meaningful to further expand my explanation ( I did it for 4 years). But there are other ways you could divide this up.
