Hey SDN,

I had planned to do my shadowing + clinical volunteering in March/April/May, but have had everything cancelled due to COVID19. I have ~200 scribing hours over 6 months, but no shadowing (8 hours). By the time AMCAS opens, I will have ~200 hours nonclinical volunteering but no clinical volunteering.

I'm ORM, and I have a 3.70, 518, a BS in engineering and BS in philosophy, and three intense years of research culminating in a poster at the highest conference in my field (but no papers yet). Will I be hamstringing myself if I apply with two red flags, no shadowing or clinical volunteering? I was trying to aim T20, but I don't know if I'm disqualified due to not having these.
Did you register for the AAMC Virtual Fair coming up? You can see what admissions officers think, especially given your situation with cancelled volunteering opportunities.
