Hi SDN,
I had a few questions concerning shadowing and community service.
First, I have only 35 shadowing hours. By the end of this week, I will have 50. What is a good number to aim for?
Secondly, I have many community service projects over the years, totaling approximately 100 hours. However, I am unsure if some count. For example, a local resident was out of town for the weekend and asked if I would watch her house and take care of her animals for her. I didn't get paid. Would this count as community service?
Also, since I have a variety of community service projects, ranging from helping at fundraisers to helping to restore a church after a flood, will dental schools look down upon this instead of having one community service project for 100 hours?
Thank you all for your time!
