Shadowing in Miami!!

Hello everyone!

Haven't posted anything in a long time but I'm definitely an SDN addict. I'm looking to get my hands into some shadowing hours and I will be shadowing a OBGYN, a neurologist and a pediatrician but my passion at this moment is surgery, and my dream doctor to shadow is a neurosurgeon, but those guys are really hard to get to! I tried calling some offices but no luck so far:

Does anyone, by any chance, know of a neurosurgeon or any other type of surgeon in the Miami or Ft. Lauderdale area willing to let a nice pre-med shadow him/her for some hours?? 🙂 A cool shadowing volunteering program would work too!. If you do, I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide me with the info. Feel free to PM me!!

Check out UM's observership program for undergrads. Ask any of the doctors at Ryder Trauma Center if you can shadow them, and once you are in the system (which takes about a month), you can move around the hospital (i.e. Neuro ICU, Cardiac ICU, plastic surgery, etc).

Theyre all very nice people. I believe either Dr. Gallo and/or Jagid is involved with DBS surgeries, so that might be a good place to start.
