Shadowing Question

I'm fairly certain I want to go into Family Medicine after having shadowed a Family doctor for 100+ hours. Is it necessary to get more experience shadowing other specialties before I apply next cycle or will my lack of shadowing spread handicap my application to top tier schools? Thanks!

Your shadowing is fine, but that's only one of several important ECs. How are you doing in clinical and nonclinical volunteering?

I have several hundred hours in each. I just wanted to make sure that I didn't need to take time away from continuing those to shadow other specialties.

Also, out of curiousity with local elections coming up, how much of a boost do you think being on school board (for example) would help?
