lol so i am supposed to meet him in the OR, i am just interested...how do i walk in there when he is operating and introduce myself lol? i have never met him before. awkwardness....haha

I was in that very situation this summer. The surgeon told me to meet him at 8:00 am, but did not mention that he would be in the OR. When I went to meet him, another doctor told me to put on the scrubs and everything and took me to the theater where the surgeon I was supposed to shadow was in the middle of a hip replacement. We spoke a little while he operated and then he started explaining what he was doing, etc. I think that it's okay to meet the doctor you are shadowing in the OR if that is what he or she prefers.. you'll probably get time to talk to them face to face later on.
