Hello Forum,

I have a quick question about the shadowing hour requirements for many schools. I intend to apply in the upcoming cycle and have under 20 hours of shadowing experience. That being said, I have been working as a dental assistant approximately 2 years part-time during college and 2 full-time summers. Furthermore, I am RHS certified and have experienced enough of general practice to understand dentistry to the equivalent or higher of those who shadow exclusively. Is there any need for concern for my application? Would you suggest me to take off work to shadow dentists in my area? Thank you.

Nah, you're good. Go shadow specialists if you want to, but you've got more than enough experience in dental settings.
