Is it weird to shadow with a friend? We're both interested in shadowing the same doctors at the same place so it seems to make sense.

If the doctor is ok with it, then I don't see the problem.

No, I don't think it's not weird at all. Just make sure that the physician you are shadowing is fine with having you both following him or her for that timeframe.
 
do you mean wierd from your view or from the view of the doctor??

I've shadowed with a friend before in surgery and it was cool, but the next year I shadowed alone, the whole semester with the same doc. and it was much better....just because you get more attention and experience and you are "forced" to talk with and hang-out with doc.s and staff during meals and stuff....instead of possibly being tempted to just sit with your friend and talk about what you saw or whatever.
