Shall I withdraw the application for this year?

Hi everyone,

I just got my MCAT scores today and I am not very happy with them (11PS/7VR/11BS, 29S) and I have an AMCAS GPA of 3.77 and mediocre ECs. I had already submitted my primary and applied only to three schools (wayne state, michigan state and Rosalind Franklin). I have been verified and recieved the secondaries for michigan and rosalind franklin today morning. Considering my bad MCAT scores for a Canadian applicant, I am thinking of withdrawing the application. I don't think a retake will help either since by the time the results will come out, it will be quite late in the application cycle. I am very confused and not sure what to do.

Any sincere suggesstions will be appreciated.

P.S. I submitted my DO application on Aug 3 and it is still on its way to be verified.

if you don't mind going to DO school then I would withdraw bc ur pretty competitive for DO school. if you want MD though I would leave your application and apply to ~5-7 lower tier schools. good luck!

It is the same i.e. 3.77.

MD of course will be my preference, but this year will probably be my last year applying. Would you mind suggessting some low-tier schools that will look at my application considering that I am a canadian too?

You sure? AACOMAS doesn't consider math for the science GPA. It also includes random sciences like geology, engineering, oceanography, etc.

I am not sure where to look for it then. My application has not been verified yet. Do they tell you the GPA after verification?
