Hi all, I had heard that Sheppard Pratt/U of MD, while they have Caribbean students rotating for their Psych clerkship, doesn't take IMG grads for their Psych program for PGY-1 year (tho they do have spots for PGY-2). Is this true? Also, does anyone know of any university psych programs, perhaps Sheppard Pratt, that offers prematch offers to USIMGs (Carib grads)?

Thanks so much!

On the day I interviewed at Maryland was everything from people who were at big name Med schools to DO, Caribbean (Ross, I think) and true IMGs (girl who went to med school in Mexico).

But, I did not see any residents who were not US MDs. It may be that they interview them but they usually don't have as high on their match list.

tons of uiniversity programs(most psych programs are uni programs) offer prematches to IMGS.....the list is way too numerous to list.

Actually prematches are no longer permitted in the match as of this year.
