SHOTS WW GAME THREAD

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I don't recall wolfzenge so I am not claiming a read. But what I assume he does is the same as villagezenge but more pocketing type behavior and light on the attacks.

He seems village but as I read through to catch up, I just got a sense that there was a willingness to buddy up with people and less willing to offend. That has been the most wolfy thing that I have noticed in the game so far. I feel better about the people I have on the village side. Unfortunately, the ones that are left fall on the bottom of the list bc I have nothing that makes me want to move them up.
I'm saying this with a big grain of salt because for some reason my brain has erased most of Zenge's wolf meta except for his first outing, and obviously he has changed his wolf strategy a lot since then, but I remember he was very hedgy and yes, willing to buddy up and tried to avoid stepping on toes, but when he was pressured, he turned extremely defensive. So far here, I agree that he doesn't feel offensive, but he also didn't get defensive at all when I pushed him. Seemed rather the opposite. Like I said, comparing to his first outing isn't the greatest read marker but it's what I've got, and I think the reaction to pressure is a little more telling

Village:
Animal Midwife - I haven’t seen anything I would call howling. Tentative village read. Will be interesting to see where she votes and who she pushes today though.

Aprilthearab - I’ve started seeing some of the things that Village!April does that ping me and make me think she’s wolfy. I felt like her push of me for my voting decisions came from a genuine village mindset.

WildZoo- Village lean. She’s cunning as a wolf and I need to see more before I feel really good about this, but there’s things that would make it hard for me to believe this was wolf Dubz.

Neutral:
genny - I just don’t know yet. Need more information.

Crayola227 - Hasn’t posted nearly enough to get a good read one way or the other.

BobLoblaw78 - Not really confident one way or the other on this. I can make a case for both village!Bob and Wolf!Bob. Reads list wasn’t too great, but not bad enough to slip him into the wolf category just yet.

Wolf:
JustPaws - I haven’t seen anything to change my early read here, but I’m definitely willing to re-evaluate if I see more.

Melchizedek - I feel like I always wolf read Mel so I’m cautious here, but the reads list was off enough that I moved him down from neutral. I’ve been wrong on Mel before though.

Overall I’m hoping to see more this cycle that’ll help me re-evaluate and get a stronger read on the players.
I think this is a pretty good list

I disagree, I feel like he's been very defensive when I pushed him earlier today.

Did I miss why you have april on the wolf side of neutral?
Tone read. Something in her and genny's back and forth about MsP felt off. It mainly irritated me that they keep applying the SAME NAI logic that puts heat on MsP D1, and expect different results, but genny feels more like the village one in that situation v.s. april just egging her on.

Er by my recollection genny and April were applying different logic to MsP

From least to most village because what even are wolf pings

Mel - as I said

Paws - haven't seen anything that felt like real wolf hunting from her, and I see she says she sat on my vote yesterday because she felt like she didn't have anywhere better to go, I just don't buy it

AM - I have a couple village points and a couple places where I raised an eyebrow. MsP flip and not seeing her April case keeps her in neutral.

Cray - my intuition is that wolf cray would be posting more despite life stuff but I don't have anything to back that up. She stays here until I see more.

April - not throwing down the reading card yet but feels like d1 village April so far, complete with all the widespread sus

genny - I do believe I saw a hint of the Genny Way (TM). Maybe I'll get my reading card back soon :bucktooth:

Bob - As I said yesterday, tone is different from last game's wolf!Blobs and I'd hang my hat on it (but not eat it)

Zenge - Reading card activate and y'all can FITE me on it
Wow the sketch masons are so hot rn!

I mean the same D1 logic thats been previously used in other games about MsP's voting activity being alignment indicative, I edited that post to be more clear

Didn't you initially say you were more concerned about Genny in that interaction? What changed?

Yes...genny was saying that, April said it was NAI.

Wolf!genny gets spooked when I sheep her. It’s village points here that she didn’t but it’s not enough to put her more than a village lean.

You brushed me off with a joke which was stark contrast to the one game where I did it and you turned around and prodded me about it and then turned out to be a wolf. It’s good enough for me to put you out of neutrals for now
I'm getting real tired of quoting myself.

You like the list that has you neutral with the player you voted? Written by the player you originally were second on... hmm
I just realized I didn't explain my color-coding. Red, if it existed, would be wolf. Orange is wolf-lean, yellow is neutral neutral, blue is village-lean, green is village.

Yes...genny was saying that, April said it was NAI.
I know, but it felt more like she was egging genny on to keep focusing on MsP's activity than her outright disagreeing and saying "I think that line of reasoning is wrong because MsP's activity is NAI"

I disagree, I feel like he's been very defensive when I pushed him earlier today.
I didn't feel like the defensiveness stemmed from a place of wolfy insecurity. He made good points that I happen to agree with because I've made those same points against you before as a villager.

Do you think wolf!AM would vote a wolf D1???
I was focused more on the timing, not village versus wolf of course. I could try to explain my thought process in that moment but my brain was in 1+1=3 mode this morning

That is exactly the point! It JUST happened, that is why I remember it. I don't think you understand the comparison to ggoats I was making. shorty messaged me like "Hey, look what's happening, it's ggoats all over again and other people are fighting AM like you did" so that's why I remembered those people.

I was just wondering why the vote on MsP made Dubz feel worse about you if placing an early vote like that and sticking to it wasn't particularly wolf meta of you. If you regularly put votes on people before you actually read them as both a villager and a wolf, then it's NAI, especially considering village!AM would have a pretty good chance of randomly voting a villager since it's made before your reads.
I love this logic

nice wow wow wee wow GIF

Also I am digging the new (to me) gif function

Fair enough I'm actually feeling better about him after that, but I wanted to see how you'd interpret it.

I might have agreed yesterday but April continues to move further into my village column and I think its lame you haven't re-evaluated since you posted that list this am

I'm slacking. I've been feeling out of sorts today and kind of skimming the thread because I know deadline is tomorrow and I can actually do a deep read tomorrow after work before putting in a more permanent vote.

I mean yeah in flips, but not in my reads lists.
In response to your sketch masons post, I'm not ready to call either village. I not happy about some of the stuff Mel has said but is it wolfy? Not sure. AM seems pretty normal to me but I no longer feel like I can start her in village lean and evaluate from there

Well I can at least relate as the 36hr cycle allowed me to ignore you all completely until this evening knowing I can pay more attention tomorrow

Its become the new norm to start with 36hr cycles and accelerate to 24 as the game gets smaller. It might be the solution for everyone that doesn't want to constantly be on SDN if you were thinking about coming back for more games!

ETA: Depending on the player pool it can be a lot of reading though....
