Is it an advantage for someone who is taking the August MCAT to get their applications out now? Once the August MCAT scores are out, will med schools evaluate applications based the order that they recieved the "early" applications? Thanx.

Either way you are still a little late in the application process. Just make sure you submit early enough to complete the secondary so the only thing the school is waiting on is your MCAT score.

yes, most schools look at apps in order that they are received. I would do the primary now and then fill out the secondaries during the couple month period after the mcat, that way your ready to go when your scores come out. Also, dont underestimate how long your school takes to send lor's or how long the receiving school takes to process them after receiving them. Some take a month or so, so i would do it that way so you dont have to wait for amcas to verify your app, schools to send your secondary, finish your secondary, and send in lor's in a couple weeks, because it just wont happen.
