Should I Acknowledge Weaknesses in my App?

Hello all, I am applying to medical schools this cycle after having completed 2 years of undergrad. I am looking at secondaries and many include the theme of ~ is there anything else you would like to share ~. With 2 years of undergrad, I have probably >200 hours volunteering and research, and >60 shadowing. Should I own that my hours and experience are less, but reaffirm my commitment to medicine? Or should I use that space to say something else.

Don’t do that. It’s a different story if you messed up for a semester. But it doesn’t seem like you can come off as anything other than “pity me.” You’ll have secondary apps to explain anything
 
Yeah, I guess I was thinking in the context of covid and missing half a semester, especially because I had planned to have most of my shadowing during this time. I believe my application to be strong and I definitely don't want to come off as seeking pity. What do you mean by

You could possibly spin the story-
I was loving my xyz volunteering/research position doing abc but lost the opportunity to continue due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
 
Adcoms have a vast number of applicants to choose from, give them any reason to scrap your application, they won't hesitate to.
