So far I have two upcoming DO interviews (KCUMB and NYIT) and two MD interviews (USC and GW). I applied to 17 MD and 4 DO throughout early August (MD) and late August (DO), and I have heard nothing from anywhere else. Considering that people on the MD board are saying most MD ii are out, I think my chances of going MD are done, unless I get into one of my two interview places, which I don't feel is likely to happen.

I'm currently waiting on Touro NY and Nova. Should I add more DO schools at this point, or should I just wait it out? It's imperative that I get in somewhere this cycle, so I'm leaning towards the first option. I have secondaries from PCom, Marian, and UNECom that I've had for 1-2 months and never turned it because I ran out of money. Is it worth sending in these apps at this point? 3.65/3.43/35 MCAT/ slightly below average ECs but with decent clinical experience and a DO letter.

I would submit the secondaries that you have and add maybe 5 DO schools. If it's that important to get in this year, be aggressive---you have great great stats for DO , but a lot of schools are filling up too. Good luck on your interviews!

Isn't 4 interviews pretty good...
and you still have more schools to hear back from... maybe save some $$$

4 interviews is great, yes. But it'll cost a couple hundred dollars to open up a lot more doors. If he doesn't get it this cycle it'll be another 1-2k to re apply next cycle. Also, a year of lost wages as a practicing physician.

You're gonna spend 200-300k in school, I wouldn't go cheap on trying to get there if you have the available resources

Well because some people don't have couple hundred laying around...?
But that could just be me. Do you.

I should go get a credit card...

I think you're fine where you sit. If money isn't an issue then sure apply to as many DO schools as you want. I'm sure most of them will give you invites though and don't see the need for you to submit additional primaries when you're already sitting on a few unsubmitted secondaries.
