Many TX schools have an optional essay where you can discuss academic discrepancies. I got one C (in physics) and a couple of B's in my freshman and sophomore year, mainly because I was still learning how to study and adjusting to coursework and work/life balance. I have since course-corrected (upward GPA trend) and finished with all A's this past year (as a junior). Overall TMDSAS GPA is 3.77; sGPA 3.58; MCAT: 521

I was wondering if I should write about my early struggles since there is space, or if I should just not draw attention to my early grades since I have improved since.
Don't waste their time or yours.

Please explain any academic discrepancies or extenuating circumstances that you feel the Admissions Committee should know. (Optional)
So explain how your situation is an academic discrepancy. As described, nothing sounds like you had extenuating circumstances. Struggles are not discrepancies.
