I don't have a lot of knowledge about who should and should not apply, but I too get depressed seeing people post such excellent MCAT scores. I don't think I will ever get the scores some of these people post. I am not discouraged from applying though b/c I know plenty of people in state schools who had less than 30 MCAT and less than 3.8 gpa's. I know 6's aren't looked on very highly, but the composite may be good enough to get you an interview.
Best of luck!!

It's how you present yourself that matters. Not everyone in medical school has the perfect GPA and/or MCAT scores. I didn't, but I still got in. There is more to a person than just numbers. There are some applicants that had perfect MCAT and GPA and did not get in. Show the committee who you are as a person, and they'll see you as a qualified applicant.

Hi guys,
i just want to thank you so much for you encouragement.

i deeply appreciated.

tristate, i thank you for your comment. but you see, i don't even know if i will get an interview therefore i'm sure how i can get the opportunity to present who i am.

raindodger, your post was very helpful. i did my post-bac at harvard extension, i enjoyed it alot. i'm not sure if that would make a difference for adcom.

again, thanks for all of your responses.

Admissions committee at most schools carefully review everything on the paper application before deciding on interviews. This includes your activities, essay(s), work experience, etc. Everything that you present on that application will be noticed and considered.
