I have been on 4 interviews so far and have an acceptance to ACOM. I have gotten interview invites from LMUDCOM and NYIT-AR and wondered if I should go? I was thinking no to LMU, but not sure if I should go to the NYIT one? Is it considered a "better" school? I'm pretty far from all of them, so location isn't an issue.
Thanks for reading!

If you were accepted at LMU or NYIT-AR, would you go there over ACOM? If so, then go. If you know you absolutely wouldn't then don't. If you aren't sure, then go.

Yes to LMU, no to NYIT-AR.

Thanks for the feedback! I just got accepted to ATSU KCOM, so I think I'll forego the other interviews. Would you still recommend going to LMU though? I heard their clinical rotations weren't as good?

If you got into KCOM then it's a hard no to both.

I'm of the opinion no one should go to NYIT-Arkansas

Would you choose KCOM over ACOM?

KCOM- established, the oldest DO school, has established solid rotations, has a great track record of putting its grads in good residencies, has NO mandatory attendance.

ACOM-has mandatory attendance, new, only one graduating class with a decently high level of attrition, very few wards based rotations, still largely unknown.

It isn't even a close comparison.

Not to hijack the thread, but curious as to why you're against NYIT-Arkansas? I chose not to apply there myself, but have a friend who is an M1 there now.

A few reasons: clearly a money grab that isn't even disguised well, brand new, will have garbage rotations (more on this in a minute), have extremely poor entrance stats for their first class, and will have essentially no GME access for their grads.

This is the big kicker for me: the state does NOT want the school there. The other new DO school in Arkansas (ARCOM) has state support and has agreements with every major hospital and health system in AR except for the University of Arkansas health system and they will take up all the good rotations sites and resources.

Interesting points. Definitely super concerning. I did some light research on the school when deciding where to apply but didn't get into these specifics because I felt it wasn't for me. Glad I dodged that one.

How do you know all this information???? You seem like the GOAT of knowing things about DO schools haha

Would you prefer BCOM over NYIT Arkansas. I also worry about the clinical rotations at NYIT? Thanks.

I know both are new and no first class of graduate yet. I am just worry about the private loan for BCOM. The simulation lab at BCOM looks great.

Yes, I would go to BCOM. There are certain schools that to me are on the list of absolutely never apply there and NYIT-AR is on that list.
